Playing Hooky!

 I had an appointment with a specialist for my eye issue yesterday. I am feeling much better knowing that the percentage is pretty small that my retina will actually detach:)  Sweet husband went along with me to listen to the doc so I could tune out the gross stuff and avoid passing out! Good thing he was there as the dilation makes it a little hard drive safely and for some reason my eyes take forever to get back to normal! So with my cool double sunglasses, we decided to play hooky after the appointment while the kids were home doing school...

                                                      What a day!  We really needed some couple time and had a blast walking the Bosque trail a few miles, trying out a new gastropub, and then tasting some different brews at a couple local microbreweries.  I have to confess it was hard to pull into the driveway and we seriously considered throwing some Sonic Burgers and a movie to the kids and heading back out for the rest of the night - maybe even getting a room somewhere:)  BUT, that wouldn't be responsible parenting.  Reality hit as soon as we walked in and needed to help with Geometry, make dinner, and do the taxes!  I wonder how much time has to pass before it is reasonable to play hooky again?
