Oh Happy Day!

Kids on the Rio Grande

I am feeling happy this Tuesday afternoon.  Woke up to the sounds of a few sandhill cranes while eating breakfast (google their call - it is so cool).  Got my 10,000 steps + in before noon.  Enjoyed a little walk to the Rio Grande with the kids and Gifford - it's quite close to our home:)  Nerdy homeschool fact: the river runs from Colorado to the Gulf of Mexico and is the 20th longest river in the world!  There's actually a nice little sandy beach area, sadly it is not very quiet with the highway noise, but maybe when it reaches the 100's this summer we'll take a dip.  Kids are rockin' their school today and I got a pass on biology until tomorrow as E- has much history reading to catch up on.  M- has finally mastered the typing somewhat efficiently which I think should help TONS with his writing.  And, I made a yummy lunch with my favorite new frozen food - veggie burgers (from Costco).  E- and and I are the only ones who like them, so more for us!  Happy Tuesday - smile:)
