The Good, The Bad, and a Mango Margarita!

*Note for future posts... the kids, in the spirit of Hugo's Les Miserables, will hereby be deemed as E- and M- I'd explain, but you'll just have to read the book to get it.

E-  finished her finals this week!  Semester one is officially over:)  Here's what she took:  AP American History (multiple choice + an essay), Material Logic, Classical Studies (4 exams for this class), English Composition, Biology, and a Biology term paper!  Let's just say she did better than well on all except the History multiple choice (we are waiting final outcome as there will be a curve).

M- had his first flag football practice (I'd call it more of a clinic) today.  Not a good experience for him. Poor boy, he was so excited to go and it just didn't meet his expectations.  Why?  Kids were "rude, crude, indifferent".  I know our kids are 'different' (in a good way) in that they are kind, compassionate, polite, and guess what - they don't cuss!  E- has kind of gotten over this part of the "normal"population and is able to look past it, not so much for the boy quite yet.  He's having a difficult time with this transition to the SW and it is killing me!  I am sure he'll connect with someone at some point, but the interim is tough.  Hoping when he is actually placed on a team, that there will be a few nice kids and a better experience!

And... the mango margarita - oh my!  I have been wanting to make this for few months, but didn't have the tequila etc... and you gotta have tequila for a margarita.  Anyway, after freezing at the football clinic and worrying about my sad boy, I felt I needed one.  I am not giving away the recipe, but if you come visit, I can make you one:)  OK - if you are dying for one now you can probably get the recipe from the Pioneer Woman.  BUT, you know it would be more fun to visit and have one with me!

Cheers!
Mango Madness!
